Our first time home buyer classes are fun, educational sessions designed to give an overview of current market conditions and the home buying process. We are a unique partnership of top professionals in the DC Mortgage, Real Estate and Settlement Industries to provide you with seamless customer service. You will learn what you need to know to become a savvy buyer!

You will learn:

  • Rent vs. Buy – determine if home ownership is meant for you

  • Choosing the right lender – knowing the questions to ask

  • Mortgage basics: rates, points, fees

  • Financing basics: FHA, conventional, conforming, and "jumbo" loans

  • Buyer agency and choosing the right agent: importance of a buyer consultation

  • What to do when you find the right property: Property & neighborhood due diligence

  • Understanding contingencies (Inspection, Appraisal, Financing & Document Review contingencies)

  • Writing a successful offer in a competitive market

  • Navigating through to a successful closing

  • Avoiding red flags

You'll receive incentives worth over $1000 just for attending:

  • 10% commission credit for your home at closing

Meet Joe Zamoiski

Joe Zamoiski, III is a native Washingtonian and a graduate of Boston University. Over the last 20 years, he has excelled at “turning clients into friends every day”, first while working as an account executive for Washington Sports & Entertainment (the parent company of the Washington Wizards and the Washington Capitals) and now with WashingtonFirst Mortgage.

Joe joined the mortgage industry in 1998 and found the business appealing as it was an opportunity to help people realize their dreams of home ownership. His mission to his clients is to treat them the same way he would want to be treated and to spend as much time as needed to ensure their comfort with the entire process.

He is consistently among the top of his peers in the industry and has thousands of happy clients. Joe also has teamed up with his twin brother Jason to create “Team Z Mortgage”.

Joe spends most of his free time either on the golf course, at Deep Creek Lake, or with friends and family. Joe is active with many local charities, loves to travel, and enjoys working out, yoga and fishing. Joe is also a passionate fan of the Steelers, Caps and Wizards. Joe lives in Bethesda with his wife Barbie and his dog, Lola.

Meet Denise Verburg
